This variety produces long and thick dark green stalks that reach about 50 to 55 cm in height. This crop is adapted to cold period and can’t stand the hot season. The cooked stalks of Tall Utah are excellent with meat juices or sprinkled with cheese. In tropical area, keep the sowing for the full fresh season in seedling trays then transplanting in pots when plantlets get 3 leaves (be carefull, germination is slow and usually takes 20 to 30 days at 20°C). Planting one month after transplanting rows 50 cm apart and seedlings 40 cm apart. Harvest 95 to 100 days after planting.
